We offer totally confidential short or long term counselling and your counsellor will protect your personal details. However, there may be unusual circumstances where it becomes necessary to break confidentiality. This would only be where you or those around you are at risk of harm or if a child is at risk. Your counsellor would make every effort to discuss this with you and only contact parties who absolutely need to know.
Your counsellor will keep a record of your work. This will be held securely and in keeping with BACP guidelines and the Data Protection Act 1998.
